YSEALI Seeds of the Future Grant

2018 Recipient

Reef Stakes® is a recipient of the 2018 YSEALI Seeds For The Future Grant. YSEALI Seeds for the Future is a small grants competition for young leaders in Southeast Asia. It provides funding for the region’s most promising young leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries and the region across the program themes of Civic Engagement, Education, Economic Growth, and Sustainable Development. The YSEALI Seeds for the Future program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is funded through a grant from the U.S. Mission to ASEAN.

    NAAEE 30 UNDER 30

    CLASS OF 2019

    Our team member, Quek Yew Aun has been recognised as an 30 Under 30 Environmental Educator by the North American Association of Environmental Educators (NAAEE). Since 2016, NAAEE’s EE 30 Under 30 program has recognized 90 individuals from around the world who are making a difference through environmental education.

      ASEAN YOUTH ECO-CHAMPIONS AWARD

      SENIOR YOUTH CATEGORY RECIPIENT

      Our team member, Edmund Lau Chai Ming was been awarded the The ASEAN Youth Eco-champions Award (AYECA) 2019 in the Senior Youth Category. AYECA is a joint initiative of Brunei Darussalam and Singapore to recognise proactive youths as young AMS citizens who have made outstanding contributions in protecting the environment.

        8th INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL GAMES COMPETITION

        1st Place - Non-Digital Finished Games Category

        Reef Stakes® competing against 10 other finalists from all around the world was announced winner of the 8th International Educational Games Competition (IEGC) in the Non-Digital Finished Games category on the 25th of September 2020, the first Malaysian game to have won. The annual competition ran alongside the 14th European Conference on Game Based Learning (ECGBL) which was organised by the University of Brighton, United Kingdom and Academic Conferences International (ACI).
