The team received a total of 68 applications, to which 20 were shortlisted for the Reef Spawn Program. From this number, 12 finalists were chosen. These ‘planulae’ will undergo a comprehensive budding program throughout May – August 2021 before broadcasting the messages in their respective communities.

Elizabeth Lee Jia Huei

A fresh graduate from Monash University Malaysia with a major in Finance and Econometrics, Elizabeth is currently working on Gerontechnology and sustainable cities. She spends her free time reading business books and baking. Elizabeth’s signature is shepherd’s pie and apple crumble muffins.

Isyraf Haqim bin Mohd Tamizam

Isyraf Haqim is a marine biologist based in Pulau Perhentian who has passion in marine life and climate change. He believes in a world where everyone focuses on the same goals. Even though he rarely talks about feelings, he is sensitive enough to consider everything that happens around him.

Bella is currently working at a packaging warehouse in Selangor, after being called to the bar as a lawyer last December. Irfan Mowardi is a marine biology student at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. As the president of Marina Club UMT, he has lead a team to organise many ocean conservations programmes under the OceanHope project that aims to increase ocean literacy among youth in Malaysia.
